S&S, Sprocket L77-89, Orange For Harley Davidson

All S&S pinion shaft gears are designed for use with a BT 73-99 style 24T driven gear (OEM 26345-73 / MCS 531209 S&S).
The color encoding sequence is identical to the standard HD encoding.
When in doubt, use a gear on the middle to small side of the range.
A combination of smaller gears should provide adequate gear clearance under most circumstances.
Both excessive and zero gear backlash combinations cause engine noise, but a lack of gear backlash causes binding and premature wear.
The sizes are as follows: 909084 Orange (largest).
Replacement 24040-78. 909085 White.
Replacement 24041-78. 909090 Yellow.
Replacement 24042-78. 909095 Red (average).
Replacement 24043-78. 909100 Blue (average).
Replacement 24044-78. 909105 Green.
Replacement 24045-78. 909106 Black (smaller).
Replacement 24046-78.
