S&S, Crankcase Assembly 65-69, Standard Bore. Natural For Harley Davidson
For use with an aluminum primary housing.
S&S Superstock™ crankcases, constructed from 356-T6 aluminum, are much stronger than OEM crankcases.
OEM crankcases can crack in high-performance or even stock applications, as many of us find out the hard way.
These S&S Superstock™ crankcases can be used for both stock replacement and racing applications.
The important thing for the engine manufacturer is the substantial savings in labor when using S&S crankcases.
These crankcases come "set up" with Timken sprocket shaft main bearing races and cam needle bearings installed and pinion shaft main bearing race pressed and polished.
Additional parts supplied include Timken sprocket shaft bearings, cylinder studs, nickel-plated crankcase bolts, crankcase fittings, an oil pressure sensor, timing and magnetic crankcase drain plugs, and a special S&S-designed alternator stator plug retaining screw. Flywheel scrapers are machined to fit the original 8-1/2" diameter flywheels. S&S cases maximize crankcase oil scavenging efficiency through the use of a "ported" design vent. S&S cases are cleared up to and including 5", so no additional clearance is required for stroke cylinders. S&S cases are supplied complete with assembly instructions. Note: The S&S 36-69 Oil Pump (MCS 519922) can be used with all S&S 36-69 crankcases. Note: In each and every application, the technician must be able to evaluate the suitability of the components in combination with the other engine components, prior to installation.
It is important that an experienced mechanic installs and makes any necessary adjustments.
