Chrome/molybdenum spare piston set of S&S.
It adapts to all Evolution and Pre-evolution engines that are equipped with a large diameter kit of 3-5/8 "S&S that has 1/16" compression rings (1.5 mm) and oil rings of oil from 5/32 "(4.2 mm). Big Bore Kits 3-5/8" from other manufacturers (such as some Axtell kits), which are equipped with the same piston slots.
Standard cylinder Interior diameter: 3,625 "(92,075 mm). 1st ring: 1.5 mm (0.058"). 2nd ring: 1.5 mm (0.058 ").
Oil ring: 4.2 mm (0.155 ").
Note the separation of the compression segment: it is very important to determine the correct separation of the segment in the newly installed piston segments.
A space too narrow can result in premature wear of the piston/cylinder wall or even in grabbing, possibly breaking the rings and/or damaging the pistons and/or the walls of the cylinder, etc.
A separation of the piston segment that is wider than necessary will result in unnecessary compression loss and a reduction in engine efficiency.
The recommended separation between rings is 0.004 "per inch diameter of the cylinder for street engines.
For an interior diameter of 3-5/8 "(3,625"), the separation between engine piston rings would be 3,625 "x 0.004" = 0.0145 ". (0.0145" x 25.4 = 0.3683 mm or, when rounded, 0.37 mm).
