Avoid over-tensioning of the primary chain, which often occurs with the standard automatic tensioner.
Reduce stress on the motor pinion bearings and transmission bearings.
Allows for correct adjustment of the primary chain according to factory specifications from 5/8" to 7/8"
It requires the removal of the primary transmission cover for installation or adjustment.
