Updated EXP (expandable friction disc) assembly
Updated base material for increased strength in high-temperature environments, crucial for thermal clutch systems. Redesigned inner wall bases for increased strength and rigidity, providing a more connected lever feel for the rider.
On the outer surface of the EXP disc, the friction pads now match the patented friction design of Rekluse TorqDrive clutch discs. This design helps tailor the oil flow characteristics to the underlying clutch assembly, promoting improved cooling and consistent operation.
The EXP 4.0 shims have been improved to now utilize rolling contact with integrated pins. The use of rolling pins instead of sliding pins generates less friction and resistance, providing a smoother engagement and a more responsive feel, resulting in more robust overall power delivery. This translates to more direct power delivery, increased durability, and rider-focused functionality. The engagement curve designs have been updated to better suit the characteristics of modern motorcycle engines.
