It is used to check if the tappets are loose or spongy, with pressurized oil, before installing them.

It's easy to diagnose poorly sealing tappets before they cause a problem while the engine is running. Testing requires oil, compressed air, and a drill press.

Note: To test Evolution tappets, the Evolution 962006 insert must be purchased separately.
