Used with late style 1950-1973 pistons with 1/16" gray iron parkerized compression rings and the 3-piece flex vent style chrome plated oil rings.
Also fits 52-56 K, KH, KHK 55" (900cc) Flathead models.
Standard Inside Diameter: 2.745" (69.723 mm). 1st Ring: 1.6 mm. 2nd Ring: 1.6 mm.
Oil ring: 4.75 mm and 1/8" (3.2 mm) second ring and oil ring, for these Hastings rings see Flathead model years 1950-1973.
These rings do not fit early pistons from 1929-1949.
Tech Tip: Piston Grooves vs. Piston Rings
It is not difficult to determine if a Hastings piston ring set will fit a particular piston.
You need to measure the height of the piston groove on the piston itself.
The top 2 grooves will be for the compression rings, the bottom groove will be for the oil ring.
In most cases, Hastings oil rings are of the low-tension, 3-piece flexible vent type.
Ring heights are listed for reference.
Tech Tip: Oversized piston.
For each oversized cylinder, the diameter will increase by 0.010" (0.254 mm).
The standard cylinder bore is included for reference.
