Note: The steel flanges 84-03/17-23 'Early Style' and of smooth aluminum 04-17 'Late Style' are interchangeable. 
Late Style's flanges are thicker and designed to help prevent the escape flange from double. 
All will adapt to the Big Twin 84-UP and Sportster 86-22 XL models. 
M8 models are equipped with steel flanges of the 'old style'.
