Excessive tension is a problem with the OEM primary chain tensioner.
Unnecessary stress on the chain, sprockets and bearings can cause premature failure.
This black oxide steel 'Bump Stop' locks the OEM chain's automatic ratchet system, thus preventing over-ratcheting.
Adjustments are made by grinding the material away from the grooved wear marks on the stop.
Primary chain adjustments can be performed in conjunction with every 5000 mile primary oil change.
Installation instructions included.
No permanent modifications are required.
