2006 Dyna® models and all models from 2007 to the present with electronic fuel injection are equipped with 2 narrow-band oxygen sensors (lambda probe) and the Delphi® ECU that works with these probes to obtain operating information during "closed loop" and adjust the Air-Fuel mixture to emission regulations.

When the engine reaches operating temperature, the motorcycle's ECU (ECM) will maintain an Air-Fuel ratio of 14.6 at idle and also at half-throttle. While driving under these "closed loop" conditions, most aftermarket ECUs are not able to modify this mixture (AFR) and add fuel (necessary if the exhaust or filter has been changed, for example). The ECM will correct any attempt to change this, so the solution is to install these O2 sensor eliminators by simply connecting them to the lambda sensor connector.

These eliminators have suitable internal electronics that simulate a "cold sensor" situation and allow the injection to operate in "open loop" at all times, allowing the aftermarket ECU to gain full control of the EFI injection in all situations and conveniently modify the entire AFR map. You will therefore be able to make changes across the entire operating range of the engine, from idle to full throttle.
