It's the easy way to perform a complete overhaul and have all the gaskets you need in one package to reassemble your engine.
This EST gasket set contains MLS (Multi-Layer-Steel) which eliminates the use of pin O-rings.
Base gaskets are 0.020" thick SLS (single layer steel).
They have 0.005" of high temperature Viton rubber on both sides and are the strongest on the market.
The rocker cover gaskets are also 0.020" thick SLS.
They won't weep, extrude, tear, or become brittle over time.
Exhaust gaskets will not obstruct the flow of exhaust gases and will not wear down the exhaust port.
Valve seals use Viton rubber and external springs for a perfect seal.
- MLS = Multi-Layer Steel Explanation: Consists of a top and bottom layer of stainless spring steel that is covered by high-temperature rubber on both sides.
The inner ring is also made of stainless steel.
These 3-layer gaskets are riveted together, outside the gasket surface, for ease of installation.
