The HD© M8 engine has a problem with excessive oil consumption.
This Trask Performance transmission top cover solves many of the problems caused by the release of excessive pressure in the crankcase.
This is achieved using a Boysen non-return valve.
The oil and air mixture is better maintained in the camshaft housing and the oil pump operates more efficiently.
The amount of oil and air mixture that exits the engine through the cylinder head vents is reduced.
The lower pressure in the crankcase also slightly increases power, as the engine can rev more easily.
Note: This CheckM8 transmission top cover does not resolve the M8 engine oil transfer problem. HD© has a service bulletin on the pump seal that addresses this issue.
