S&S, HPT496G Camshaft Kit for Harley Davidson M8

Gear Drive.

The largest bolt-on camshaft for a huge increase in power and torque.

S&S measured the following on the dyno: 2023 Low Rider ST with HPT496 camshaft, Stealth air filter, Super Street exhaust, maximum power of 120.73 hp at 5770 RPM and maximum torque of 127.04 hp at 3230 RPM. Stock 2023 Low Rider ST: maximum power of 91.2 hp at 4680 RPM and maximum torque of 119.2 hp at 2960 RPM.

Compatible with all standard components, but requires free-vent air filter and exhaust silencers.

With every camshaft change, S&S recommends their Precision 583903 tappet set.

This camshaft and gear kit includes camshaft, drive gear and driven gear on the camshaft.

Includes all necessary bearings, O-rings and screws.

Gear-driven camshafts offer greater precision in valve timing and a more powerful mechanical sound, compared to chain-driven camshafts.

Note: For optimal performance, as with all high-performance camshafts, it is recommended to use a high-efficiency air filter and exhaust system.
