The HI-4N offers more options than the famous HI-4, with even greater reliability.
The HI-4N comes with switchable single/double firing (with built-in multi/single spark, race/street mode, RPM limiter, and electric/kick start mode).

The sensor housing contains fully encapsulated electronic components to resist vibration, moisture, and dust, and is mounted directly to the metal housing, which serves as a heat sink to prevent overheating.
Easy adjustment with 4 rotary switches that offer perfect precision.
Note: Compatible with 2-3 Ohm coils.
It is recommended to use ignition modules and coils from the same manufacturer.
Mixing different brands can cause premature failure.
Note: Ignition rotor (OEM 32402-83) and mounting bolt (2611B) must be ordered separately or reused.
The rotor and bolt kit is available as 902268 (S&S) or 920402 (imported).
Note: Module may not fit 00-03 XL models due to the slightly smaller diameter ignition cone used on 00-03 Sportsters.

A single coil is used and both spark plugs fire simultaneously.
This is the simplest system.
It is sometimes said that "wasted" spark robs horsepower.
- Single Fire: This is how the original Twin Cam engines from 00 onwards worked.
Two separate coils will fire the spark plugs independently, and only the spark plug of the cylinder that is on the compression stroke will fire.
These engines are said to vibrate less and can improve power.
The effects will be more pronounced with hotter chambers and higher RPMs.
