Replacement Regulator for Harley Davidson FLT 95-96 - OEM 74505-95

Controls voltage in Harley-Davidson and Buell alternators, unlike other rectifiers or regulators that discharge to ground and cause maximum stator current and higher temperatures.
Cycle Electric rectifier regulators block current to control voltage; this reduces stator current, resulting in lower temperatures and less friction in the motor, which translates into more efficient operation.
Before replacing the regulator, check the stator for ground shorts and proper AC output.
If the stator is defective, a complete charging system upgrade (part no. 2112-1823) is recommended.
