Direct replacement for Harley-Davidson's stock 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission
7th gear optimizes gearbox ratios, allowing the motorcycle to fully utilize the torque and power delivered by the 96", 103" and 110" engines.
Unlike the standard primary shaft, which has integrated 1st to 4th gears, the DD7 shaft is lightweight and only has the 1st gear integrated, minimizing the "clonk" of gear changes.
Shorter 1st gear and all other gears more closely stepped to provide a smoother, more powerful driving experience with seamless acceleration from 1st to 4th
Smooth shifting is achieved through the use of a new linear ball detent that is part of the billet top cover.
Supplied ready to mount on the motorcycle; no crankcase modifications, adjustment of sprocket clearances or adjustments are required.
Includes the 7th direct pinion with the bearing and seal to replace the 6th direct pinion
Reuses the stock shift selector
Includes driveshaft bearing and seal, polished support plate, axle support plate gasket, side cover gasket, top cover gasket, and self-adhesive DD7 emblem for the side cover.
Uses the bearing retainer plate of the F6F axle support plate
The DD7 axle support plate bearings are 28% wider than the standard ones.
