Prepare your motorcycle for winter with the Optimate battery monitor
Share
Generally, during winter periods, motorcycles accumulate less kilometers, or spend a lot of time due to bad weather.
Because of these periods of inactivity, the batteries are discharged, being able to sulfate in extreme cases, significantly reducing their useful life. It is important, therefore, to make periodic loads or use a maintainer so that the battery voltage remains in an optimal state.
If we install a quick shot, we will also enjoy the comfort of loading the battery without having to disassemble anything, just plug and go, like when we load our mobile phone.
Optimate has a quick shot that, in addition, allows us to monitor the state of the battery at all times, in this way we know whether it needs load or not. A green light tells us that everything is OK, ready to roll; The yellow light tells us that we can roll without problems, but if we do not do it soon, the battery will have to be loaded; Finally, the red light tells us that we have to load the battery as soon as possible to avoid permanent damage to it.
This system has another advantage: by starting the motorcycle allows us to check if the load system (alternator and regulator) works correctly, indicated by the green light.
The installation is done in minutes and its fast universal SAE connector is compatible with the majority of loaders and maintainers with this type of connector.
