La gama Touring CVO presenta importantes novedades en el motor y nuevo diseño de carrocería
As we said in April, it seemed that H-D was going to equip its mid-year CVO models with a new 121CI engine and an improved suspension. Finally, Harley has just revealed the detailed specifications for the CVO Street Glide 2023 and the CVO Road Glide 2023. They are presented with the new Milwaukee Eight VVT 121 engine. New and more robust in the front and rear, new driving modes, a new infotainment system and body of new design such as fairing, fuel tank and suitcases.
The main mechanical improvements apply to both CVO models. The main feature of both is obviously the new Milwaukee-Eight 121CI V-TWIN, which, according to H-D, produces approximately 8 percent more torque and 9.5 percent more power than the Twin-Cooled M-8 117 117 engine 117 117 117 ". Therefore, we are talking about 115 hp at 4500 rpm and 189 nm. Torque to 3000 rpm of the 1977 CC engine, which also uses variable valve distribution (VVT). The M-8 121 engine has refrigerated butts By redesigned water with new channels for refrigerant flow around the exhaust valves; and duration also increases power and torque; of the Big Twin of 45 degrees include a new admission nozzle and an accelerator body with the highest diameter (now 58 mm) located closer to the center of the cylinder and the intake valves, to improve the air flow.
The rebound can also be adjusted for the rear, accessing whether we disassemble the suitcases.
Street Glide CVO 2023
Visual changes in the CVO Street Glide model may seem lower at first glance, but there is a substantial refinement with respect to its immediate predecessor. The fairing "batwing" is striking (bat wing) updated, which retains the iconic "T" design, but simplifies its silhouette, with the divided flow ventilation now completely integrated into the design. As an element of distinctive design, the LED lighthouse acquires a new way with its intentors LED amber now integrated in the elements of the left and right light for a cleaner general appearance. The additional LED items are precipitated from the main lamp along the left and right sides of the fairing to achieve a spectacular effect. The combination of rear brake/pilot/intermittent light now moves between the rear fender and the saddlebags, and for even more visibility, the light remains illuminated for 10 seconds after turning off the motorcycle.
The new fairing also has a "floating" windshield design with a new adjustable control lever in the central ventilation of the fairing of both models, allowing the pilot to adjust the air flow, thus balancing the air pressure behind the fairing minimize the hull pounding at high speed. Air deflectors in the fork skirts of the CVO Street Glide can also be adjusted to reduce wind turbulence in the driver's head. There are also other subtle design details in both, which include shorter front fenders, a new 6 gallon fuel tank with a distinctive side bezel and remodeled saddlebags designed to integrate with the fairings and the gas tank. The new Combo Laced wheels make a bold personalized statement with a black machining aluminum aluminum tire and intertwined radios. Like the CVO Road Glide, the street glide will come in two finishing options.
Ergonomic problems have also been addressed in the new CVO Street Glide, with a redesigned seat and a padding designed to place the pilot's hips in a neutral position, which reduces fatigue in the back and neck. The scope of the front brake lever can also be adjusted to better adapt to the size or preference of the driver's hand, and the temperature of the standard heating fists can be adjusted in the fist or through the infotainment screen.
As for that infonthenation, it is now based on a 12.3 -inch TFT touch screen that is 90 percent larger diagonally than the outgoing unit and replaces most of the previous CVO switches. It is fed by a new operating system called Skyline that has a new and elegant voice recognition system and is compatible with Bluetooth and Apple Carplay (although not with Android for the moment), as well as with a series of other supplements. Both CVO models are also equipped with an Harley-Davidson Audio System of First Quality and High Performance driven by the Rockford Fosgate Stage II sound system reinforced by a new four-channel RMS amplifier and 500 watts and backed by 6-year-old , 5 inches and Stage II three 5 x 7 -inch saddlebag speakers.
This new touch screen is also the entrance door to four new selectable driving modes, a novelty for the CVO Street Glide and Cvo Road Glide models. Each mode (rain, road, sports and custom) is configured to offer a specific combination of power intervention, motor brake, anti-lock brakes (C-ABS) and traction control (C-TCS). In addition to the ABS in curves and curves traction control systems, the two new CVO also include electronically linked brakes in curves (C-ELB), drag sliding control in curves (C-DTSC), retention control, of the vehicle (VHC) and monitoring tire pressure control (TPMS).
Road Glide Cvo 2023
The CVO Road Glide 2023 model has all the same motor, suspension, lighting and electronic improvements as the Street Glide, and many of the ergonomic. The classic "Sharknose" fairing (shark nose) Road Glide, for example, receives an aggressive update with more angular forms. You can see how the rear edge of the new fairing merges with the shape of the fuel tank and the lower part of the fairing with the front engine cylinder, while the fine stripes echo the design of the saddlebags. A single LED lighthouse acquires a wide and horizontal shape and gives the illusion of having twin elements, taking up a key characteristic of the previous road glides. The "W" form of that front lighting is a clear indicative, although the amber flashing are now integrated with the outside of the main lighting, thus abandoning the previous bullet types.
The CVO Road Glid pilot for the desired comfort. The Cvo Road Glide handlebar has a wider and flatter curve than the previous form, which places the pilot's hands in a more natural position for long distance driving and also allows 27 degrees of adjustment. On both motorcycles, Harley comments that dry weight has been reduced a lot by using different materials and processes. The weight savings is 14 kilos for the CVO Street Glide and 16 kilos for the CVO Road Glide, compared to the oldest models they replace.
"With the new CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models, our mission is to improve all aspects of Grand American Touring motorcycling experience," said Jochen Zeitz, president and executive director of Harley-Davidson. "These models establish a new standard for the performance, technology and style of Harley-Davidson, accelerating the evolution of the most desired motorcycle brand in the world."
The new CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models will be offered with two paint/finish options. The standard Dark Platinum with decorations in Bright Smoked Satin and the inner fairing of the same color contrast with a black propulsion system and an air filter with chrome details in the engine. The lower rocker boxes, the pipe rods and the exhaust also have a Scorched Chrome finish; Adversary collection accessories have a black powder paint finish with mechanized reflexes. Optionally, two Whiskey Neat/Raven Metallic are available that is applied by hand and has an interior fairing of the same color. The driving train and the air filter are black with orange details in motor inserts, while lower rocker boxes and necklaces of the thrust rods are painted as Whiskey Neat. The thrust rod tubes and the exhaust are chrome. The accessories of the Adversary collection have a double anodized finish in black and orange. The CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models will begin to arrive at the Harley-Davidson dealerships from all over July and will be presented in the anniversary celebrations that the Company engine will perform in the summer months.
