Converting your Softail to a wide rear tire has never been difficult with the Zodiac wide tire kits. Now, with the extremely competitive priced DeLuxe swingarm kits it is even more easy. These kits bolt into stock Softail frames on 1991 to present models and allow the installation of a 250 wide rear tire on a 8.50" wide wheel. These very complete kits include all parts needed to offset the primary and leave the engine and transmission in the stock position. Only the complete primary is mounted offset by means of an included transmission extended main shaft and main drive gear. The only "modification" that is to be made to the stock frame is cutting off the existing fender struts and replacing them with the included chrome billet aluminum ones. Kits take the stock rear brake calipers include a black swingarm, chrome 3/4" (19.05mm) diameter rear axle, black axle covers, black floorboard spacer, stainless steel splash guard, chrome belt guard, swingarm pivot bearings, raw steel rear fender, billet aluminum fender struts, billet aluminum primary spacers, steel sprocket shaft extension, extended transmission mainshaft, extended transmission mainshaft drive gear, starter shaft extension and all required hardware, gaskets and seals. Kits are designed for use with a narrow 20mm final drive belt or chain drive. Because of the very wide choice in wheel designs, the wheel and tire must be ordered separately. Use with a 18x8.5" rear wheel for 3/4" wheel axle such as PM wheels with hub code 1274F.Note: 1991 thru 1993 models require the separate purchase of a late style countershaft 5th gear ZPN237074.Note: Installation on 2008 and later models requires the modification of the rear brake caliper and a check of the clearance between the swingarm and frame.
