CNC machined from heat-treated, closed die, steel forgings, and stronger than cast iron or late stock style steel flywheels. These S&S flywheels are a 5-piece design that is easily rebuilt with standard flywheel fixtures and tools. Come balanced for use with stock pistons. Contrary to the OEM crankshaft in 2000 thru 2003 models these crankshafts feature a separate sprocket shaft and pinion shaft, which makes a rebuild possible. Another great advantage is that installation requires the use of the 1986 thru 1987 style pinion gear, pinion shaft oil pump drive gear and nut. These have proven to be much stronger as the OEM design used since 1988. Crankshafts are ready to install and balanced by S&S for use with stock 1200 cc pistons. Great for engine rebuilds and new builds.
