This is the Powerglide with a solid bronze alloy bushing to failure proof instead of a regular roller bearing.
There are no other differences between regular Powerglide and Powerglide Steady Roll.
The complete contact of the bearing provides more stability, a longer life and a quieter functioning due to the strictest tolerances that this bushing design allows.
The main inconvenience of a worn needle bearing roller is that it will eventually break, spilling steel needles throughout the engine.
This is no longer a problem.
Even when the Steady Roll bronze bushing is wearing up, the design is failure proof.
Like the other taqués Jims Powerglide ™, this Steady Roll version will provide you with a higher hydraulic function compared to the OEM style equipment, a Billet Steel body with hand -handed hydraulic unit cavity and an oil fed axis.
To obtain all the power, you must have a zero valve set and eliminate the collapse of the hydraulic unit as is found in the OEM unit, also called "shock absorber syndrome".
If the valve is not fully maintained, there will be a loss of power.
Jims Powerglide taqués approach a solid tachy as much as possible, but they can still compensate for heat expansion.
They will even work well with solid -style camshafts.
